![]() This is now my go-to recipe for a 7-layer dip, guacamole and pico de gallo. I followed the recipes as written for the 7-layer dip, guacamole and pico, except I only used about 3/4 of the jalapeño in the guac because there was going to be a lot of kids there. The idea for individual cups makes the prep work a lot more time consuming, but it is great for a party so I felt like it was worth the extra time. I asked a couple of people if they felt if it had too much onion and they all said no, that it was perfect the way it was. I laughed and told him that most people actually LIKE onion, unlike himself. SO GOOD! I got rave reviews from everyone except my husband, lol! He said there was way too much onion in the pico. I made the pico de gallo and guacamole recipes you had on here also for this. What a great idea for individual serving cups! Serve as a dip with tortilla chips, inside tacos, or as a Mexican side dish. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Pour mixture into an 8 inch or similar size baking dish and sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese evenly on top. I pinned this recipe a long time ago and finally tried it tonight. Stir in the sour cream, taco seasoning, salsa, and cup shredded cheese. These would be great for watching a football game or for a New Year’s party. Now, you could make these in glass tumblers too, but we are pretty casual over here so plastic tumblers are the way we roll. The great thing about seven layer dip is that you can adjust it to your personal tastes. My sister told me about the idea of individual seven layer dips as a party idea. But after a few people have dipped ( hopefully not double-dipped), it starts to look like mush.Īll the pretty layers turn into an unidentifiable, unappetizing pile. Spread the guacamole into an even layer on top of the beans. Spread the beans into an even layer in the bottom of an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. I think my husband spent 6 straight hours on Christmas helping them build Legos. In a small mixing bowl, whisk the refried beans, chili powder, salt, cumin, and ½ cup salsa together with a fork until smooth and combined. Spread in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. We’re swimming in Legos over here and just when I think I’ve cleaned up the last of them, I’ll step on one or one of my boys will drop their ships and Lego pieces go flying everywhere. In a medium bowl add salsa and refried beans, mix until well combine. We keep it pretty minimal when it comes to toys for our kids on Christmas but yet somehow I feel like there’s STUFF everywhere! Anyone else feel this way? Unlike the traditional 7-layer bean dip, there’s no double dipping here! These are definitely a memorable appetizer that will have people raving. Individual Seven-Layer Dips are individually portioned Mexican appetizer dips perfect for parties, BBQs, potlucks, and get togethers. ![]()
